CCO Certified Rigger Level 1 (RIG-1)

     Our comprehensive CCO Rigger Level 1 Training Program consists of classroom instruction and hands-on practice, focusing on inspection, selection, and proper use of basic rigging gear. Key components include OSHA regulations, determining load weight/center of gravity, sling hitch types, and preparation for both written and practical certification exams. Certification is good for 5 years.

Core Curriculum Components:

• Rigging Gear Inspection & Selection: Detailed training on identifying removal criteria for wire rope, synthetic web, round, and chain slings, as well as hardware like shackles and hooks.
• Safety & Compliance: In-depth coverage of OSHA regulations regarding rigging and crane operations.
• Load Calculations & Planning: Estimating load weight, finding the center of gravity, and calculating sling angles/tension.
• Rigging Techniques: Proper application of rigging hitches (vertical, choker, basket), and use of below-the-hook lifting devices.
• Signaling & Communication: Instruction on OSHA-approved hand and voice signals for crane operations.

Training Structure:

• Classroom Sessions: Technical training on rigging principles, terminology, and safety standards.
• Hands-on Training: Practical, on-site experience with rigging gear, allowing participants to apply skills directly.
