     Our comprehensive Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Training Program consists of a blend of classroom theory and hands-on practical training, covering safety regulations (ANSI/OSHA), equipment inspection, hazard recognition, and operational proficiency. It includes pre-start inspections, stability factors, emergency rescue planning, and a documented operator evaluation.

Key Components of a Comprehensive MEWP Program:

• Theoretical/Classroom Training:
  • Safety Regulations & Standards: Training on ANSI A92/CSA B354 standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Operator Manuals: Proper use, location, and understanding of manufacturer operating and safety manuals.
  • MEWP Classifications: Understanding different types of equipment (e.g., 1A, 1B, 3A, 3B) such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, and vertical masts.
  • Hazard Identification: Recognizing risks such as tip-over, electrocution, falling, and entanglement.
  • Stability & Limitations: Factors affecting machine stability, including ground conditions, wind, and load capacity.
  • Rescue Planning: Procedures for emergency lowering and rescue.
• Practical/Hands-On Training:
  • Pre-start Inspections: Conducting required daily walk-around inspections.
  • Functional Testing: Testing all controls and safety devices before operation.
  • Operating Proficiency: Practical exercises in maneuvering, elevating, and lowering the machine.
  • Site-Specific Hazards: Evaluating and navigating the specific workplace environment.
• Evaluation & Documentation:
  • Written Exam: Testing knowledge of the theoretical material.
  • Practical Evaluation: A hands-on assessment of operator skills by a qualified instructor.
  • Qualification: Issuance of a qualification certificate upon successful completion.
  • Familiarization: On-site training for different models of MEWPs.
• Refresher Training:
  • Required when unsafe behavior is observed, equipment changes, and every 3 years. Qualification is valid for 3 years.
